Caravaca de la Cruz
Caravaca de la Cruz is a city which borders on Murcia and Granada, it is a town established around its Castle.
The main monument in this town is “the Vera Cruz” Sanctuary, construction which outstands for its luxurious red marble front.
Caravaca is one of the 5 Holy Cities in the world, where the Jubilee Year was celebrated in 2010, getting many pilgrims and faithful people together.
The city is also known for the festival “horses of wine”, commemorating the events that occurred when Caravaca was nazari border with the kingdom of Granada.
Caravaca is, besides, a privileged enclave for rural tourism and active tourism, with a large number of activities that permit to come into contact with nature, ranging from hiking to riding.
